Chaired by Hon’ble Auditor General, the Royal Audit Authority conducted its first quarterly review meeting from 17th to 18th October 2021 at Professional Development Centre (PDC), Tsirang. In his opening remarks, Dasho highlighted the importance of such meeting to review the status of planned activities and take timely intervention in case of emerging issues and changes. Capacity development program on Construction Audit for Internal Auditors concluded on 15th October 2021.
The closing ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Auditor General where the participants were awarded the Certificates of Participation. Prior to that, Dasho conducted an awareness program on Royal Audit Authority presenting the institute’s history, mandates, and roles and responsibilities as an oversight body. Dasho highlighted the “fraud triangle” through an anecdote and explained reasons for an individual’s decision to commit fraud. He pointed out a focus area for intervention as internal auditors so that people getting entrapped in the “fraud triangle” can be prevented. Capacity development program on Construction Audit for Internal Auditors started today at the Professional Development Centre.
The training program is aimed to enhance capabilities of Internal Auditors in respect of constructions audit. Participants who are mostly from different ministries and dzongkhags will learn key components of constructions audit such as interpretation of drawings, understanding cost and estimations, review rate analysis and departmental works, and audit of road works. The five day capacity development program on e-PEMS started today. The program is aimed to equip auditors with knowledge and skills of e-PEMS to enable them to use it effectively while auditing the agencies.
The Program Director opened the session by highlighting the importance of e-PEMS to be an added advantage for auditors knowing the modules of e-PEMS thoroughly before auditing the agencies. Second batch of three day capacity development program on Data Visualisation and Infographics started on 30th August 2021.
The program is aimed to equip auditors with knowledge and skills of data visualization and infographics to enable them to use it for effectively communicating audit results through visual representation of statistical and other types of numeric and non-numeric data.
