A weeklong capacity development program on Electronic Government Procurement System (e-GP) began today at PDC.
The e-GP is a web-based system through which the procuring agencies shall perform their procurement related activities. The stakeholders include individuals, bidders/consultants, procuring agencies, payment service providers, development partners and they will require dedicated administrators for access and operations. Hon’ble Auditor General conducted an audit advocacy program for internal auditors at PDC on 19th November 2021.
It began with a question on recollection of the meaning of “audit” and by instilling a sense of an auditor’s role in nation building. Dasho highlighted the potentials of a strong partnership between the Royal Audit Authority (RAA) and Central Coordinating Agency for internal auditors (CCA), and shared willingness to collaborate and work hand-in-hand to ensuring higher public accountability. A weeklong capacity development program on Construction Audit for Internal Auditors – Batch II started today at the Professional Development Centre.
The training program is aimed to enhance knowledge and skills of internal auditors in construction audit. Participants from different ministries, autonomous bodies and dzongkhags will learn the key elements of construction audit such as Interpretation of drawings; Understanding cost and estimations; Review of rate analysis; Quantification of labour and material consumption, and machine hours for departmentally executed works; and Audit of road works.
