Risk Assessment and Sampling in Public Sector Auditing started at PDC

A four-day capacity development program on Risk Assessment and Sampling in Public Sector Auditing started at PDC today.

The training is focused on enhancing competency of the senior auditors in:
i) identifying and assessing risk of material misstatements including those due to fraud to design appropriate risk responses. It is expected to avoid providing incomplete/incorrect audit findings, conclusions and recommendations in public sector audit; and
ii) selecting and examining representative samples from sets of data (population) using audit sampling techniques.

The training was opened by the new Program Director wishing the resource persons and the participants safe and pleasant stay at PDC and encouraged active knowledge sharing in order to have enriching learning experience. There are 22 participants attending the training of whom five of them are attending it virtually via online meeting platform.

The training, which is the last capacity development program of the fiscal year 2020-2021, will conclude on 19th June 2021.
