A three day capacity development program on Data Analytics began earlier today at PDC.
The program is aimed to equip auditors with knowledge, skills and techniques to perform data analytics for outputs that are meaningful and relevant to their audit engagements. The course will have following sessions to achieve its learning objective:
- Introduction to data analytics and data collection methods;
- Extraction, transformation and loading of data in different computer aided audit tools; and
- Performing data analysis using three computer aided audit tools – MS Excel, MySQL & IDEA software.
The Program Director of the institute welcomed the participants and opened the training highlighting the importance of data analytics in audit engagements for quality audit results. He urged all participants to participate actively for fruitful learning which can be shared to their teams and colleagues.
Twenty three Auditors from RAA HQ and Regional Offices are attending the course. The training is funded by Austrian Development Agency and scheduled to conclude on 12th October 2022.
