Recognizing the benefits in leveraging ICT for delivering audit services effectively, a five-day capacity development program on Users\u2019 Training of Upgraded Audit Information Management System (AIMS) started today at Professional Development Centre – Tsirang. The opening ceremony was graced by Deputy Auditor General, Directorate of Services (virtually) where he emphasized on having interactive session amongst the facilitators and the participants and make the best use of available resources to get equipped with system and its upgrades.<\/p>\n

The participants will learn to use the new features upgraded in the system, such as:<\/p>\n
\u2022 recording observations, accountabilities (direct and supervisory) and recovery details against individuals\u2019 CID.
\n\u2022 authorizing payment of audit recovery made online and through MBOB and issue e-receipt to the payee.
\n\u2022 performing Follow-up Audits and correspond on implementation of audit recommendations through the system; and
\n\u2022 generating follow-up reports, do reconciliation of audit recoveries and various other kinds of reports.<\/p>\n
With the launch of up-graded Audit Information System (AIMS) the RAA hopes speed up the follow-up process and issuance of audit clearance through fair and unbiased system. It will also help the RAA to minimize expenditure on stationaries such as papers and other necessities.<\/p>\n
The AIMS upgradation project which include enhancement of some key features is implemented by a league of experts formed by collaboration of RAA\u2019s ICT Services with iTechnologies consultancy firm and with the financial support from the Department of Local Governance (DLG).<\/p>\n
