{"id":3671,"date":"2022-10-24T12:22:21","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T06:22:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pdc.gov.bt\/?p=3671"},"modified":"2022-10-24T12:22:21","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T06:22:21","slug":"capacity-development-program-on-electronic-daily-allowance-and-travel-system-e-dats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.pdc.gov.bt\/?p=3671","title":{"rendered":"Capacity Development Program on electronic Daily Allowance and Travel System (e-DATS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A three day capacity development program on electronic Daily Allowance and Travel System (eDATS) began earlier today at PDC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The eDATS is an online travel authorization and claims system of the Royal Government of Bhutan rolled-out for implementation to all the Budgetary Bodies from 1st July 2021. The eDATS is expected to reduce Turnaround Time in processing travel claims, bring uniformity in application of rates and travel distance, eliminate double claims\/payment, minimize risks of fraud, corruption and rent seeking opportunities, generate real-time reports for monitoring and decision making purposes, support the overall Government initiative of digitalization and reduce administrative burden through paperless procedures.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The program is aimed to equip auditors with knowledge, skills and techniques on eDATS to perform audit of travel effectively. The course will have following sessions to achieve its learning objective:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Introduction and overview of e-DATS;<\/li>\n<li>update e-DATS;<\/li>\n<li>Pictorial Presentation of e-DATS;<\/li>\n<li>Agency Administrator and Verifying Authority in e-DATS;<\/li>\n<li>Approving Authority of e-DATS; and<\/li>\n<li>System Demonstration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Program Director of the institute welcomed the participants and opened the training highlighting the importance of e-DATS in audit engagements for quality audit results. He urged all participants to participate actively for fruitful learning which can be shared to their teams and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thirty Auditors and other officials and staff from RAA HQ and Regional Offices are attending the course. The training scheduled to conclude on 26th October 2022 is imparted by the officials from the Department of Treasury and Accounts, Ministry of Finance and funded by Austrian Development Agency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A three day capacity development program on electronic Daily Allowance and Travel System (eDATS) began earlier today at PDC.
