{"id":3696,"date":"2022-12-02T15:16:04","date_gmt":"2022-12-02T09:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pdc.gov.bt\/?p=3696"},"modified":"2022-12-02T15:16:04","modified_gmt":"2022-12-02T09:16:04","slug":"capacity-development-program-on-hydropower-project-audit-batch-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.pdc.gov.bt\/?p=3696","title":{"rendered":"Capacity Development Program on Hydropower Project Audit \u2013 Batch II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A three-day capacity development program on audit of hydropower project for the second batch began yesterday at the Professional Development Centre in Tsirang resourced by the two Hydropower experts from Bernard Gruppe, Austria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course will have following sessions to achieve its learning objective:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 Contract management in Hydropower Projects;<br \/>\n\u2022 Types of contracts specific to Hydro power;<br \/>\n\u2022 DFR vs. Actual implementation;<br \/>\n\u2022 Contract interpretation;<br \/>\n\u2022 Fund and Resource allocation for Pre-feasibility study at DPR stage;<br \/>\n\u2022 Preparation of Tender Documents;<br \/>\n\u2022 Application of cost escalation and price adjustment;<br \/>\n\u2022 Parameters used for rate analysis globally;<br \/>\n\u2022 Cases of ambiguous contract clauses and its resolutions;<br \/>\n\u2022 Case studies related to some failed projects;<br \/>\n\u2022 Best practices to handle closure of failed Hydro power projects; and<br \/>\n\u2022 Risk areas in Hydropower construction activities and best practices to address such issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Program Director of the institute welcomed the participants and opened the training highlighting the importance of Hydropower Project Audits. The Head, Austrian Coordination Office and Hon\u2019ble Auditor General jointly graced the opening session.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thirty three Auditors from RAA HQ and Regional Offices are attending the course.
